Back in 2012 Dan Miranda moved Coupeville’s historic Holbrook Barn down into the parking lot of our city green.

Since that time Coupleville Major Nancy Conard, also a Coupeville Lions Club member, requested help replacing the roof with the Coupeville Lions.  Happily, as usual, they accepted that challenge.

Roof repair and replacing existing composite shingles with cedar shakes is now being done. The job includes replacing the ends of the roof joists and putting on a new roof.

We’re grateful and excited to see the result!  GO LIONS!

There was also some necessary work need on the massive swinging doors of the barn.  That work was done in December (2013) with the assistance of Lions Ricardo Reyes and Ron Boyer under the leadership of Harrison Goodall, nationally recognized preservationist. For more information about the doors please visit the Coupeville Lions Spring newsletter.
